Eula Mae Caruthers, 89, of Nederland passed away April 26, 2010 at Cypress Glenn Nursing Home in Port Arthur. Eula was a born in Batson, Texas on August 11, 1920 to Sevan and Mattie Louise Riley Caruthers. She had lived in Houston for thirty years before moving to the Nederland and Port Arthur area ten years ago. Eula is survived by a brother, Vernon Caruthers; great nieces, Karen Frederick and Tracey Johnson; great nephews, Patrick and Jeffrey Johnson; great great niece, Julie White; great great nephew, Blake Gonzales; great great great niece, Ireland Mae White; nephew-in-law, Pat Johnson; She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mattie Lou; and brothers, Mason and Earl and niece, Gertie Caruthers Johnson. Graveside services will held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Guedrey Cemetery in Batson, Texas with Dr. David Higgs officiating.
