William Donald “Don” Taylor, 78, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Harbor Hospital in Orange, Texas. A native of Los Angeles, California and resident of Beaumont for the past forty years, Don worked as the Director of National Advertising for the Beaumont Enterprise.  He received his Masters of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California and obtained his undergraduate studies from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

His sister, Jeanne Williamson; and his parents, Bill and Martha Taylor preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Taylor of Beaumont; daughters, Terra Taylor of San Francisco, California and Marlise Ann Hoffman and her husband Jeffrey of Portland, Oregon; son, Mark Taylor and his wife Cheslea of Colleyville, Texas; sisters, Mary Sutherland of Sacramento, California, Lois Baessler of Oak Park, California, and Lorraine Mothershead of Whittier, California; grandchildren, Jessica Miller and her husband Jason, Jennifer Greener and her husband Nick, Crista Shelby and her husband Stuart, R. B. McKinney, Peter Hoffman and his wife Kara, Emily Kalenius and her husband William, Courtney Taylor, Clark Taylor and Connor Taylor; great-grandchildren, Sam Wyatt Miller, Watson Miller, Benjamin Miller, Knox Miller, Ruthie Pearl Miller, Christian Greener, Ava Kate Greener, Lucy Shelby, Samuel Shelby, Mac Shelby, and Luella Lavender Hoffman.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday April 25, 2010, at First Baptist Church, 900 Calder, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin. A gathering of his family and friends will immediately follow the service, in the church parlor.
