Oselea Prince, 95, of Kountze, died Sunday, April 18, 2010, at Kountze Nursing Center. Oselea was born in Pitkin, Louisiana on April 26, 1914 to Columbus and Mary Magdeline (Murphy) Dickens. She was a homemaker and a resident of Kountze for most of her life.

Oselea is survived by her children, Glover D. Prince, Jr. of Warren, John Paul Prince of Kountze, Priscilla Ortegon of Spring, Texas, Judy M. Prince of Kountze and Edwin A. Prince of Kountze; her brother, Ervin Dickens of Pitkin, Louisiana; her sister, Willie Ann Dickens of Mississippi; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Glover D. Prince, Sr.; brothers, Willard Dickens, Roy Dickens, and Clyde Dickens; and sister, Marie Green.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Broussard’, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with burial to follow at Holland Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, April 21, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
