Charles J. DeLatte, Jr., 96, of Beaumont, died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Silsbee Oaks.

He was born November 22, 1913, in New Iberia, Louisiana to Octavie Delcambre DeLatte and Charles Joseph DeLatte.  Charles had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1921 and was a retired baker with Rainbow Bakery.  He was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II.

Survivors include his aunt, Lenora DeLatte of Beaumont; sister-in-law, Dorothy DeLatte of Beaumont; brother-in-law, Jim DeLatte of Florida; and other loving family members and friends.

His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Broussard’s.
