Daniel V. Jones, 77, of Beaumont, died Thursday, April 15, 2010. A native of Staten Island, New York, he was born February 24, 1933, to Jean DeNyse Jones and Daniel V. Jones, Sr.  Daniel had been a resident of the Beaumont area for many years and was the vice president of a towing company and formerly retired from Merrill Lynch. He was a United States Army veteran.

Daniel was active in the D.A.R.E. program; and was a member of the Optimist Club, Rotary Club and Boys Haven of America.

Survivors include daughters, Donna Richmond and her husband George, Lori Dobbs and her husband Wayne all of Beaumont; son, Danny Jones and his wife Gretchen of Montgomery; grandchildren, Jerry Richards, Mark Gaiennie, and Tara Gaiennie; sister, Judy Cascella and her husband Junior of New York; brother, Bobby Jones and his wife Angie of New York; and brother-in-law, Jerry Tabbott of Jacksonville, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Jones, and his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010, at Broussard’s.
