Connie Paige Harber, 60, of Nederland, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont with her family by her side.   Connie was born in Port Arthur, Texas on October 14, 1949. In 1972 she married the love of her life, Joe Harber. She was a lifelong resident of Nederland where she worked for thirty-six years as a Laboratory Technician until she retired in 2003. Connie was member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Connie loved to cook, watch scary movies, shop online and spoil her only grandson, Chad.   Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Burr and Peggy Halphen and son, Chad M. Harber. Connie is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Joe Harber of Nederland; son, Bubba Harber and his wife Jessica of Nederland; grandson, Chad Harber and one more grandbaby on the way; sister, Kitty Cormier of Magnolia; nephew, Shane Cormier of Austin; brother, Michael Halphen of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; nieces, Heather and Brooke Halphen of Midland and numerous relatives from Louisiana.   Funeral service will be 10 am Monday, April 12, 2010 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Reverend Monsignor Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friend will be from 5 to 8 pm, Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Broussard’s.   The family wishes to express their appreciation to the employees of Texas Home Health Hospice for the care and consideration they provided Connie during her last days.
