Jeanette M. Ivey, 75, of Beaumont, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  She was born in Chatfield, Arkansas on July 4, 1934, to Bessie Mae Mims-Morris and Everett Morris, Sr.  Jeanette had lived in Beaumont for fifty-one years and was a beautician. She was devoted to her husband, son, daughter and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Marylin Terisa Ivey-LeBlanc; son, David Roby Ivey, Jr. and his wife Trisha of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren, Joshua H. LeBlanc, Matthew D. LeBlanc, Meagan N. Ivey and Abby E. Ivey; siblings, Norman Vernon Morris, Sr., Brenda Joyce Wood, Cecelia Ann Woodruff and Patricia Lynne Morgan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David R. Ivey, Sr.; parents; twin sister, Janice McCarta; and brother, Everett Morris, Jr.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at Broussard’s.
