He owned his own business and often donated his work for those he cared for or who needed him. His love for his wife, children, family & friends were always unconditional. Bob was not materialistically driven; he valued the important things in life like God, family and friends. He found pleasure and valued the simple things in life like nature, sunrise, sunsets, the ocean and beach. Bobby was an avid surfer and his passion was the ocean and everything she offered. He was also passionate about Basketball. He was a basketball referee with TASO and he truly enjoyed the Little Dribblers program. Some of his fondest memories were of getting that child who never made a basket to the free-throw line in hopes they would succeed and feel proud and confident. Bob was also a gourmet cook and loved to host bar-b-que’s, crawfish boils and swimming gatherings at home. He truly enjoyed pleasing others and was a friend that you could always count on. Our family sincerely appreciates the Groves Police Department, Medics and Life Flight for their efforts to save our husband, father, brother. A sincere thank you to those who visited called and left messages. We may not remember what you said or what you did, but we will ALWAYS remember how you made us feel. Your thoughts and prayers will see us through this. Words cannot explain how he will be missed. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM with a Christian Vigil at 7:00 PM at Broussard’s in At the request of family, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the Robert James Hunter, Jr., Basketball Scholarship Foundation at BBVA Compass Bank Account #2525957481.
