Toney Lee Giles, Jr., 60 of Port Arthur, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Giles graveside funeral service and interment is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, in Port Neches, with Pastor Jeff Anderson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, at Broussard’s in Nederland.

Born in Beaumont, Mr. Giles, Jr. has lived in the area his entire life. He was a plumber by trade, however when not working, he enjoyed Sunday cook outs, camping, Saturday rides in his “police car” with his loving wife of nearly 38 years, trips to the beach, jokes and card tricks that he would never tell anyone how he did them, and watching fix it up programs on television. If it could be fixed, he could fix it. He also enjoyed collecting antiques. Toney was especially fond on his two dogs, Rocky and Tyquita. He was also a skilled carpenter building his own home. He always said “with these beams and 2x4’s, nothing will tear this house down.

Mr. Giles, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Toney Sr. and Nettie Giles; sister, Marynel Ryherd and brothers, Tommy and Gussie Giles.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Giles of Port Arthur; two daughters, Tana Seger and her husband Robert of Nederland; Tiffany Giles and her fiancée Daniel Bacon of Port Arthur; five grandchildren, Breann, Braxton, Braleigh, Braden and Colt; sister, Theresa Giles; two brothers, Peter Joe Shoemaker and John Giles and his wife Nancy; nieces, Angel, Annette and Laura; nephews, Owen, Peter Joe and Tommy Jr.
