Edna Elizabeth Marino, of Beaumont, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at her home.  Born in Caren Crow, Louisiana, she was resident of Beaumont most of her life. Edna was born February 25, 1923, to Annie Zagone DeVersa and Joseph DeVersa.

She was devoted to her church home of St. Joseph in Beaumont.  Edna enjoyed many years with her sister and all of her friends playing cards and going to Bingo.  Most of all she loved her time with her daughter and son-in-law going out to eat and playing the slots at Delta Downs.

Survivors include her children, Lori Hastings and her husband Stuart, Ed Marino and Vic Marino and his wife Jenni; grandchildren, Jeff Marino and Emily Marino Owens; great-grandchildren, Eleanor Marino-Hunn, Jason Owens, and Evan Owens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Marino; sister, Mary Lou Walker; and brothers, Sidney, Pete and Charlie DeVersa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at St. Joseph Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A Rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010, with a gathering of her family and friends to follow at Broussard’s.
