Gladys Savannah Guillory-White 
August 11, 1958 - March 29, 2010

Gladys Savannah White, 51, of Stowell died on March 29, 2010, when the Lord called her home to eternal rest.

 

She was the eleventh of twelve children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tien White, Sr. and was born on August 22, 1958. Gladys accepted Christ at an early age. Gladys was a musician for St. Paul Missionary Baptist of Stowell and presently at Community Harvest Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Mack Bronson.

 

On August 19, 1979, she married Paul “Speedy” Guillory, Jr. and unto them two children were born; Tammy Guillory and Paul “P, G.” Guillory, III.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Broussard’s.                                   

                       Gladys leaves to cherish in memories her children; Tammy Guillory and Paul “P. G.” Guillory, III both of Winnie; grandchildren, Chelsea, Derek, Jr., Rheagan, and Xavier all of Winnie; fiancé, Warren Joe of Beaumont; sisters, Ruthell Brown, Rose Bronson, Mary Ann Tarver, and Deltra Moore all of Stowell; brothers, Roy White, Alfred White, Tien White, Jr., and Daniel White all of Stowell, Donald White of Beaumont and Royton White of Liberty; god-brother, Sandy Berry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and two special friends, Catherine Levier of Winnie and Glenda Marshall of Stowell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children and family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lura Nell “Mi Lou” Jones and god-child, Shannon Tarver.
