Arride Lee Fontenot, 67, of Sour Lake died Monday, March 29, 2010, at his residence.  Arride was born in Beaumont on March 17, 1943, to Wade Arride and LeeAnna (Manuel) Fontenot.  A Sour Lake resident for forty-three years, he was a retired carpenter from Local 502. He was a member of Sour Lake Masonic Lodge 1002 AF&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Sour Lake; parents, Wade and LeeAnna Fontenot of China; son, Barry Fontenot and his wife Christina of Sour Lake; step-son, Raymond Payne and his wife Debi of Lumberton; brother, Don Fontenot of China; sisters, Terrie Breeden and her husband Cal of Sour Lake, Terea McEachern and her husband Lou of Fannett, and Tonya “Tiny” Allen and her husband Richard of Lumberton; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Fontenot and step-son, Robert Payne.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with burial to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake.  A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, April 1, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
