Nancy Rooney, age 61, of Pinewood Addition, Sour Lake, Texas died Sunday, March 28, 2010.  Born on October 22, 1948 in Sulphur Springs, Texas, she graduated from Baylor University in 1971, married John Rooney in 1976, and since lived in Beaumont.  She helped run the family business and was active in Calder Baptist Church.

Nancy is survived by her husband, John Rooney of Sour Lake; sons, Charlie Rooney of Pinewood and Joel Rooney of China; daughter, Kimberley Valasic and her husband Val of Lake Worth, Texas; brothers, John Flowers and his wife Pat of Dallas, Larry Flowers and his wife Jan of Mabank,  Andy Flowers and his wife Sherry of Canton and Gene Flowers and his wife Mary of Garland; sisters-in-law, Marian Flowers of Canton and Jeanette Flowers of Dallas; grandchildren, Dalilah Rooney, Brandon Valasic and Lauren Valasic; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Pearl Chaddick Flowers; and brother, David Flowers.
