William “Bill” Kirkpatrick, 77, of Lumberton died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.  He was born in San Antonio on February 1, 1933, to Arlon Clinton and Evelyn Catherine (Dorow) Kirkpatrick. A resident of Lumberton for forty years, he was an insurance adjuster.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Theda Kirkpatrick of Lumberton; son, Michael Warren Kirkpatrick and his wife Kathie of Houston County; daughter, Sandra Kirkpatrick Catlett and her husband Dean of Jacksonville, Texas; brothers, Clint Kirkpatrick of Texoma, Texas and Reed Kirkpatrick of Pampa, Texas; step-sons, Luther Gary Simmons and his wife Elizabeth and Jeffrey Gordon Simmons and his wife Stephanie of Beaumont; step-daughter, Lisa Marie Fink and her husband George of Kountze; four grandchildren, Jennifer McCall, Aaron Catlett, Brandon Kirkpatrick, and Cailie Kirkpatrick; seven step-grandchildren, Tricia Contreas, Devon Kolander, Austin Simmons, Michael Fink, David Fink, Scott Simmons, and Christopher Ketchem; three great grandchildren, Emrys McCall, Cerridwin McCall, and Donovan Grimes; and one step-great grandson, David Fink, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karri Lynn Nantz; and son, Scooter Kirkpatrick.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Christian Fellowship Worship Center, 3950 Pointe Parkway, Beaumont.  A gathering of his family and friends will be Monday, March 29, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont.
