Rita Gayle Ortego, 60, of Winnie died March 26, 2010, at her residence.

A native of Easton, Louisiana Rita Gail lived all her life in the Winnie area.  She worked for Manning’s Office Supply as a clerk, was an avid reader, and a member of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 29, 2010, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Broussard’s.

Rita Gayle is survived by her mother, Ella Mae Voan; step-father, James “Paw Paw” Voan; son, Michael Ortego all of Winnie; daughters, Kimberly Kuver and her husband Pran of South Carolina, Misty Vodika and her husband Jerry of Dequency, Louisiana; brothers, Kenny Ortego and his wife Susie, N. J. “Bubba” Ortego, Jr. and his wife Mary Lou; sisters, Murlene Blanchard and her husband Donnie, and Tammy Ortego all of Winnie; grandchildren, Christopher Vodika, Alexis Jade “A. J.” Vodika and numerous relatives and friends.
