Helen Head, 77, of Port Neches, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.   Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the Stonegate Church of Christ in Port Arthur with Mr. Steven Cuffle officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be fro 5 to 8 PM Monday evening at the Stongate Church of Christ, 3948 Hwy. 365 in Port Arthur.   Helen was born July 21, 1932 in Mc Comb, Mississippi, to George and Beatrice Lloyd. She lived in the Port Neches area since 1942. She was a homemaker and a member of the Stonegate Church of Christ.   Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Lindsey Rae Head. She is survived by her husband Billy Gene “Bill” Head of Port Neches; one daughter, Jan Mc Cown and her husband Bruce of Port Arthur; four sons, Jerald Head and his partner Sergio Batiz of Austin, Donald Head and his wife Vickie of Caldwell, Dan Head and his wife Roberta of Lynden, Washington, and David Head and his wife Stacy of Buda; eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
