Shirley Gay Sacra, 58, of Sour Lake died on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. Shirley was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on February 8, 1952, to Ray and Ruth (Ramsey) Gillispie. A resident of Sour Lake for the last thirteen years, she was a retired cashier from Luby’s Cafeteria in Beaumont.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Tyrell Sacra of Sour Lake; her children, Connie Griggs of Dayton, Ohio, Darrell Sacra of Williamsburg, Virginia, Ron Wells of Mauriceville and Duane Sacra of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, Thomas R. Gillispie of Dayton, Ohio and Gary Dean Gillispie of Sour Lake; sister, Joyce Gail Rich of Sour Lake; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie McCargish; her sister, Barbara Jean Massey; and her brother, Ronnie Darrell Gillispie.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Broussard’s in Kountze with burial to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, March 22, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
