Ramon Rodriguez, 58, of Silsbee, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Christus Hospital Saint Elizabeth in Beaumont after a long courageous battle of cancer.

Ramon was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and was a retired locomotive engineer with BNSF where he worked for thirty-eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Marta Rodriguez; children, Kate Courville and her husband Jason of Orange, Molly Rodriguez of Silsbee, Jonathan Saint Rodriguez and his wife Tina Jones of Beaumont, and Rico Rodriguez of Silsbee; grandchildren, Jace and Jacob Courville, and Xavier, Rayn, Savanna, and Ian Rodriguez; brothers and sisters, Mary Martinez, Arthur Rodriguez, Paul Rodriguez, Mary Guerrea, and Veronica Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ramon is preceded in death by is parents, Jose and Frances Rodriguez and a brother, Tony Rodriguez.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 22, 2010, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, March 21, 2010, 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 P.M. at Broussard’s.
