Daryl Lee Thornton, 57, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.  He was born October 4, 1952, in Corning, Iowa to Clara Hopkins Thornton and Dale Thornton.  He had been a resident of the Beaumont area most of his life and was a diesel mechanic with Ryder Transportation.

Daryl enjoyed fishing, camping and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Thornton of Beaumont; parents, Clara and Dale Thornton of Griswold, Iowa; sons, Cole Thornton of Essex, Iowa and Kelly Thornton and his wife Sabrina of Beaumont; grandchildren, Naela Thornton, Kerrigan Thornton, Shawn Thornton, Brayden Thornton, and Liam Thornton; sisters, Nancy Hasiak and her husband Tim, and Sara Kiem and her husband Mike all of Omaha, Nebraska; and five nieces and nephews.

A family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
