Olite Bertrand, 90, of Winnie died March 13, 2010, at Promise Hospital in Nederland.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Altha Bertrand; son, Lyman Bertrand; and daughter, Delores Gallier.
Mrs. Bertrand is survived by her sons, Ferrill Bertrand and his wife, Terri of Fannett, Donald Bertrand and his wife, Doris of Kountze; daughters, Deanna LeBlanc and her husband, Glenn of Winnie, Cheryl Granger and her husband, Bryan of Winnie, Peggy Meche of Winnie, Letha Ann Bertrand of Winnie, Judy Freeman and her husband, Wayne of Fannett, Debbie Freeman of Fannett; sister, Ozite Trahan of Kaplin, Louisiana; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday, March 15, 2010, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive of Winnie with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday with a Rosary recited at 6:00 PM at Broussard's.
