John "Jack" Carroll Drexel

John Carroll Drexel (Jack) died March 7, 2010, at Silverado Senior Living in Kingwood, Jack was born November 16, 1928 in On November 29, 1945 at the age of 17, he left Southern High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Private First Class. Jack served in active duty on the U.S.S Leyte until November, 1948. After some time in the reserves, he was recalled into active duty in August, 1950 to serve in In August of 1951 he entered the Baltimore City Police Department as a patrolman, and served on the Police Force for twenty-three years and retired a Lieutenant in 1975. Jack moved to Harford County Maryland in 1974 and started a new career as a real estate agent working for Grempler Reality in 1976. He later began working for Sherwin Williams as a salesman to new home builders and retired in 1988. Jack and Faye loved Jack took up golf in his 60's, and was a true fan of his hometown teams. He loved watching the Colts, and often offered to work (police shifts) the games so he could watch them at Memorial Stadium in He is survived by his daughter Christina Drexel Bohli, and her husband Robert; grandsons Andrew and Matthew Bohli; by his sisters Peggy Hechler and Lorraine Daly; three nieces and four nephews.
