Kelby Lynn West 
March 8, 1990 - March 7, 2010

Kelby Lynn West, 19, of Beaumont, died Sunday, March 7, 2010. A lifelong resident of China, he was born on March 8, 1990 to Diana and Terry West.

A graduate of Hardin Jefferson High School, Kelby worked for AT&T as a sales consultant. Kelby had a passion for cars and motorcycles, truly loved his two dogs and was very proud of his saltwater fish aquarium. One of his favorite pastimes was car shows. He also enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and hunting with his dad. Kelby’s motto in life was “Never give up!”

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, L.B. West and Leo Kettl.

Survivors include his mother, Diana West of Winnie and father, Terry West of China; sister, Christina Gallier and her husband Mike of Mauriceville; nephew, Brenden Gallier; grandmothers, Laura West of China and Hazel Kettl of Vidor; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church, 3650 Dowlen Road, Beaumont, with burial to follow at China Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Broussard’s.
