John "Buddy" C. Wall 
November 16, 1930 - March 5, 2010

John Charles "Buddy" Wall died Friday, March 5, 2010, in Beaumont, Texas at the age of 79 of heart failure after a lengthy illness.  He was born November 16, 1930, in Beaumont, the son of the late Carl William Wall and Sheila Preston Wall. 

 

A lifelong resident of the area, Buddy had a passion for rice farming and raising cattle and will always be remembered as a true outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking with his many friends.  He was also an enthusiastic sponsor of many events for 4-H Clubs, Future Farmers of America and Boy Scouts. 

 

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-five years, Raymona Lewis Wall; and son, “Buck” Wall.  

 

He is survived by his son, John Charles “Charlie” Wall, Jr. and his wife Janet Meader Wall of Beaumont; daughters, Ann Wall Wegner of Gardner, Wyoming, and Jody Wall Pritchard and her husband Paul of Beaumont; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Benton Wall and his wife Jerry Lancaster Wall of Houston. 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in China with burial to follow at China Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2010, with a gathering of his family and friends to follow at Broussard’s.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, P.O. Box 38, China, Texas 77613 or to the charity of one’s choice.
