Marvin David Smith, 74, of Winnie died February 26, 2010, at the Winnie Community Hospital. 

Marvin worked as a pipe fitter until retirement and owned and operated Smith Outboard Motors of Winnie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive, with burial in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Penny Smith; sons, David Smith, Toby Smith and his wife Misti, and Danny Smith all of Winnie; daughters, Melissa Devillier and her husband Culley of Winnie, Donna Sage and her husband Joe of Nashville, Arkansas, Kelly McNeely and her husband Dale of Kountze, and Carla Carr of Winnie; brother, Donny Smith and his wife, Velma of Groves; sister, Judy Meaux of Beaumont; twenty grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
