James Heywood Boothe, 81, of Vidor, died February 28, 2010, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. He was born January 12, 1929, in Mesa, Arizona to Clyo Blanche Thurston and Douglas L. Boothe, and lived in the Vidor area most of his life. James was a retired ultrasonic welding inspector for Bethlehem Steel for thirty years and was a United States Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Boothe of Vidor; daughters, Cynthia Schrader and her husband Neil J., Gwen Bagley and her husband Dale, Kathy Wedgeworth and her husband Ralph all of Vidor, Robin Stinebrickner and her husband Clem of Beaumont, and Penny Sims and her husband Eddie of Vidor; grandchildren, Selena Bridges and her husband William, Denise Broxson and her husband Cory, Christy Goss, Sandy Goddard and her husband Anthony, Julie Bagley, James Wedgeworth and his wife Lori, Stephanie Nelson, Ashley Stinebrickner, Brooke Stinebrickner, Brittany Philmon, and Travis Sims and his wife Kerry; and eleven great-grandchildren. James is preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Kaye Boothe; granddaughter, Jessica Stinebrickner; grandson-in-law, Jody Goss; and brother, John Boothe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue in Beaumont, with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Broussard’s. |
