James Conrad Reynolds, 58, of Nederland, Texas passed away at his home on Saturday, February 27, 2010.
He was born December 18, 1951 to Thurman C. and Elaine Reynolds of Port Neches, Texas. After high school, he attended Lamar University, where he earned a degree in Mathematics, While at Lamar, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Beaubouef. The couple soon relocated to Nederland, where he lived for the rest of his life. He began teaching mathematics in the Port Neches I.S.D., and later moved on to a job at DuPont Beaumont Works. In addition, Conrad later earned a second college degree from Lamar in Chemical Engineering, after which he continued to work at DuPont before moving on to several consulting firms and finally working at Goodyear. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Nederland, where he devoted himself to studying God’s word and served with distinction as a Deacon.
Conrad is survived by his wife of 37 years and a lifelong love, Bonnie; son, Dr. Ryan Reynolds; father, Thurman C. Reynolds; mother-in-law, Kay Beaubouef; brother, Richard Reynolds and his wife, Becky; sister-in-law, Pattye Helmke and her husband, Phillip; niece, Emily LeBlanc and her husband, Eric; niece, Keri Reynolds; nephew, Beau Helmke; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceding Conrad in death were his mother, Elaine Reynolds, and father-in-law, Kelsie Beaubouef.
His service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Nederland with Dr. David Higgs officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Nederland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, in memory of Conrad Reynolds, 1911 Nederland Ave., Nederland, Texas 77627.
