Shanon Alan Carter, 33 of Port Neches, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 in Port Neches, Texas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Broussard’s in Nederland from 5:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, February 22, 2010 with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 P.M., with Reverend Chris Wininger officiating. Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wheeling, Louisiana, with Reverend Chuck LaCroix officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin a 6:00 P.M. at the church on Tuesday evening. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Shanon was born in Pineville, Louisiana and has lived in this area since 1991. He was employed in the construction industry and was an avid sports enthusiast. Shanon enjoyed NASCAR, Monday Night Raw Wrestling, New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers and fast cars. Most of all, he loved being with his family and friends.
Shanon is survived by his daughter, Shawna ReNee’ Carter; son, Dylan Luke Carter both of Hamshire; step-daughter, Krystina Monds of Vidor; parents, Billy and Donna Carter of Hamshire; sister, Wendy Cole Hernandez and husband Gabriel of Bay City, brother, Heath Carter and fiancée Elya of Port Arthur, grandparents, Bill and Barbara Bailey of DeRidder, LA., Bill and Linda Carter of Montgomery, LA., aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and a host of friends.
