Rena Marie Jones, 85, of Winnie died February 19, 2010 at her home.

A native of Snow Hill, Arkansas she had lived in the Winnie area for fifty-five years.  Rena loved her family and her dog Taffy. She was an artist and known for her paintings and poetry. Rena also enjoyed listening to Elvis, knitting, cooking for her family and friends.  She was also known for her great love of animals.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.

Rena is survived by her sons, Gary “Gabby” Jones and his wife Regina, Rick Jones and his wife Sandra all of Winnie; daughter, Shirley Alred and her husband Billy of Canton; special nieces, Jo Ann Burns, Frances Holloway; dog, Taffy; grandchildren, Shannon Bennett and her husband Greg, Cory Jones, Shane Jones, Lori Cabra and her husband Paul, Chip Alred and his wife Sally; great-grandchildren, Karrie Ann Bennett, Dillon Bennett, Kaitlyn Bennett, Cody Wood, Casey Wood, Jacob Alred, Malachi Alred; life long friends, Rip and Billie Parnell and Ruby Nell Smith; numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben E. Jones.
