Joseph Dalton Theall, 89, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

He was born February 26, 1920, in Abbeville, Louisiana to Marie Aureline Hanks and Andrew Jackson Theall, and has been a resident of the Beaumont area for eighty-seven years. J.D. was a retired supervisor with Mobil Oil after forty-two years of service. He was a World War II veteran and a retired Lt. Col. with the United States Army Reserves.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Anna Jean Theall of Beaumont; sons, Joseph Andrew Theall of Beaumont, James Christopher Theall and his wife Eve and John Dennis Theall all of Lumberton; daughter, Jean Michelle Case and her husband Curtis of Beaumont; grandchildren, Laura Utterback of Vidor, Christina Phelps of Beaumont, Steven Case of Beaumont and Jeffrey Case of College Station; and four great-grandchildren.

His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2010, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Broussard’s.
