Paul Alphe Ross, 83 of Nederland passed away on Monday, February 15, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 18, 2010 under the direction of Broussard’s at Wesley United Methodist Church at 3515 Helena in Nederland, Texas with burial at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday February 17, 2010 at Broussard’s at 505 12th. Street, Nederland, Texas.   He was a native of Port Arthur, Texas; born December 17, 1926 the sixth son of Volney Louis and Helen Latapie Ross. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Paul retired from Huntsman (Neches Butane) in Port Neches, Texas after 50 years of service. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Nederland, where he was an usher and a member of Methodist Men Organization, he enjoyed the fellowship that came with being of member of his church.   He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Joyce E Ross, parents, brothers, Volney L. Ross Jr., Walter A. “Skeeter” Ross, Charles W. Ross, Louis Ross and Thomas W. Ross. He is survived by his daughters, Paulette Ross Guidroz and her husband Paul of Nederland and Donna Ross Barton and her husband Roger o f Argyle, Texas. Grandchildren Dana Lisenby of Dallas, Texas, Gerry Lisenby and his wife April of Nederland, Bryan Barton of Grapevine, Texas, Amy Guidroz of Nederland and Christopher Guidroz and his wife Jessica of Nederland. Great grandchildren Kirstein Lisenby, Kennedy Lisenby, Jordan Guidroz, Cole Guidroz and Cash Lisenby all of Nederland. Brothers Robert Ross and his wife Mary of Groves, Texas and Maurice Ross and his wife Norma of Nederland and Sister Helen Bass and her husband James Bass of Beauxart Gardens and many nieces and nephews.   Paul’s family would like to thank Mary Lee, Theresa Lane, Kim Deleon, Ashley Kelley, Lydia Guidry, Theresa Holloway and Texas Home Health Hospice for all of their loving care given to him during his illness. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Revelers Sunday School Class. Pallbearers will be Dana Lisenby, Amy Guidroz, Christopher Guidroz, Bryan Barton, James Bass, Raymond Bass, Bert Rogers, Chip Volz and Ben Hudgins escorted by Ross Bass
