Michael John Alexander, 62, of Beaumont, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

He was born December 13, 1947, in Beaumont to Edith Meincher and Henry Thomas Alexander, and has been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area.  Michael was a retired machinist with Mobil Oil and was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Johnnie Alexander of Beaumont; brothers, George Alexander and his wife Joy of Tyler, James Alexander and his wife Eleanor of Nederland, Henry Alexander of Beaumont and Frank Alexander of Jasper; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and a host of friends.

A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with his memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium.
