Ronald Wayne Lane, 60, of Lumberton died on Friday, February 12, 2010 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Ronald was born in Kirbyville, Texas on September 3, 1949 to Lee Roy and Tommie Jack (Williams) Lane. A resident of Lumberton since 1975, he was a truck driver and he had proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Valori Rachford Lane of Lumberton; brothers, Dennis Lane of Kountze, Marlin Lane of Lubbock and Maverick Lane of Lumberton; sisters, Sylvia Cooley of San Antonio, Crystal Avila of Palm Springs, California, and Melody Foret of Kenner, Louisiana.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2010 at Broussard’s in Kountze with Reverend Richard Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of service.
