Theresa Gietzen Odom Pennino, 72, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston.  She was born April 18, 1937, in Beaumont to Pauline and Arthur W. Gietzen, and has been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1979. 

Survivors include her husband, Richard Pennino of Beaumont; son, Brian Odom of Sacramento, California; daughters, Laura Stone and Terri Lewis both of Sacramento, California and Sheila Odom Ingham of Nederland; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, sisters, Polly Dunn of Nederland, Ethel Wheeler of Nacogdoches and Rita Tomassini of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother, Art Gietzen of Silsbee; sister-in-law, Trinie Gietzen of Wichita, Kansas; and brother-in law, Charles Morrison of Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Alton F. Odom; son, Richard A. Odom; sisters, Jean Franks and Ila Morrison; and brother, Jack Gietzen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A Christian Vigil will be 6:00 p.m. with a gathering of her family and friends to follow Friday, February 12, 2010, at Broussard’s.
