Linda Elizabeth Holliman Farnsworth

Linda Elizabeth Holliman Farnsworth, 66, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. She was born June 1943, one of ten children to the late Carolyn and Albert Wilbur Holliman. Linda enjoyed the arts, traveling, family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed laughing and spending time with her dear friends. Linda was very active in her church and thrived by helping others. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity; and maintained her loving and caring attitude toward others till the very end. Linda will be remembered by her beloved children, David Hines and his wife Gale of West Columbia, C.B. Hines Morris and her husband David of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Stacey Hines Fitch and her husband Jack of Nederland; her treasured grandchildren, Evan Fitch, Gabriel Fitch, Savannah Hines, Abigale Hines, Melinda Morris, Sheila Morris, Elizabeth Morris and Georgia Morris; her great grandchild, Amira Morris; her loving sisters, Juanita H. Johnson of Thomson, Georgia, Clara H. Mc Nair and her husband Jimmy of Harlem, Georgia, and Ann H. Bloodworth of Milledgeville, Georgia; her devoted brothers, Wilbur Holliman and his wife Henrietta of Harlem, Georgia, Larry Holliman and his wife Maggie of Las Vegas, Nevada, and George Holliman and his wife Darlene of Dearing, Georgia; and countless other friends and loving family members whom were so blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Pete Hines and David Farnsworth; her sister, Mozell H. Tankersley; and brothers, Lynn Holliman and Lewis Holliman. Linda was a person that placed others before herself and was a true inspiration to all those that knew and loved her. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2010, at the church parlor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 1350 North 23rd Street, Beaumont, Texas 77706.
