Jimmie Randolph Doyen, Jr. 
November 25, 1935 - February 3, 2010

Jimmie Doyen, 74, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

 

Jimmie was born in Geneva, Texas and has lived in Silsbee for over forty-six years.  He worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe for forty-four years and retired as Vice General Chairman of the Southern Division of Transportation Communication Union.

 

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Reta Doyen; children, Terri Doyen of Beaumont, Danny Doyen and his wife Mary of Eddy, Texas, Lisa Lindeman and her husband Brad of Lumberton, Jimmie R. Doyen, III and his wife Sharon of College Station, Shannon Doyen and his wife Nikki of Silsbee, and Sean Doyen of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister, Lillian Bonner and her husband James of Jasper; brothers, George Doyen and his wife Nelda of Silsbee, Hugh Doyen of Austin, and Grady Doyen and his wife Cathy of Rogersville, Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

 

Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie, Sr. and Lucille Doyen; brothers, John Doyen and Fred Doyen; and sister, Lalor Weaver.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at R. S. Farmer Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, February 5, 2010, 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
