Mary Lee Maxwell, 94 of Nederland passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at her residence.   Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with Reverend Dr. David Higgs officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Thursday at the mortuary. Mrs. Maxwell was a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and moved to the Port Arthur area in 1946. She was a member of First Baptist church for over 50 years where she was a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Maxwell enjoyed cross stitch, crossword puzzles, getting together with neighbors on a daily bases and was a wonderful homemaker.   Mrs. Maxwell was preceded in death by her husband Bennie. She was survived by her son, Ronnie Scott of Beaumont; daughter Marsha Wilson and husband Kent of Port Arthur; three grandchildren, Natalie Lynn Scott of Austin, Van Wilson and wife Casey of Spring, Sherry Walton and husband Critt of Sugarland; four great grandchildren, Emma and Jack Wilson, Trace and Lane Walton; two nieces, Sharon Raby and Suzanne Scott.
