Calvin Arthur Stanley, Sr. 84, of Nederland passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Service will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with Reverend Jason Blanchard and  Randy Stanley officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Friday at the mortuary.

Mr. Stanley was born in Geneva, Indiana on June 25, 1925 and has lived in Nederland since 1944 before moving to Lumberton 5 years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Silsbee and a US Navy veteran. He worked for Pure Oil for 13 years before retiring from Dupont with 28 ½ years of service as a maintenance supervisor.

Mr. Stanley was  preceded in death by his first wife of 54 years, Mary Louise Stanley, son Calvin Stanley Jr., brother, John Stanley and sisters, Nema Hart, Viola McGough and Jean Huffman.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Stanley; son, Randy Stanley and wife, Rhonda; daughter, Debby Wininger and husband, Rodney; step-children, John Cammack and wife, Janice, Brenda Ehrensberger and husband, Tom and Pete Cammack and wife, Marla; sisters, Flora Elliot and husband, Herb and Gloria Stringer; brother, Lester Stanley and wife, Pat; grandchildren, Jeremy Stanley,  Kevin Wininger and wife, Ineda, Justin Wininger, Calvin A. Stanley III, Lelah Nelson and husband, Nate, Jessica Clark and husband, Richey, Georgia Velasquez and husband, Mike, Jeremy Stanley, and Bobby Allen; Thirteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
