Sigrid Marie Wilson, 96, of Winnie died January 27, 2010, at the Arboretum of Winnie.

A native of Sandstone, Minnesota, she lived in the Winnie area since 1957. Sigrid will be remembered as a member of the “Pink Lady Auxiliary” of the Winnie Community Hospital, active in organizing blood drives in the Winnie area, the “Young and Heart” organization and volunteering at the Arboretum before she moved there. She was an artist and known for her beautiful paintings and loved helping people.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Sigrid is survived by her son, Richard “Rick” Wilson and his wife Sandy of Winnie; grandson, Stewart Duncan and his wife Monda of Mary Ester, Florida; three great-grandchildren, Malinda Duncan, William Duncan and Katie Duncan.
