Patrick “Pat” Leo Murphy, 59, of Crystal Beach died January 25, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston.                                           .

Pat lived in Crystal Beach for twenty years with his wife Millie and had been a commercial fisherman for over thirty-five years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Ships Wheel and cheering for his Florida Gators. He was a Viet Nam Veteran who took pride in his country and never failed to thank a fellow veteran for their service.  

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Dr. in Winnie. Funeral services will also be at noon Monday, February 1, 2010, at Faith Chapel Funeral home, North Hwy 29 in Pensacola, Florida with burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.

Pat is survived by his mother, Betty McQuigg of Pensacola, Florida; wife, Millie Murphy and daughter, Kelly Murphy of Crystal Beach; son, Jamie Murphy and daughter, Kim Murphy of Pensacola, Florida; brothers, Roland Murphy, Ralph McQuigg, Randy McQuigg and his wife Venus; sisters, Diane Smith of Tennessee, Lisa Smith and her husband Rick of Pensacola, Florida and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
