Shannon Wayne Lavergne, 39, of Orange, died Sunday, January 24, 2010.  He was born April 9, 1970, in Beaumont to Sharon Sue Self and Ovey W. Lavergne, and was a longtime resident of the Beaumont area. Shannon was a pipefitter/welder.

Survivors include his mother, Sharon Sue Self of Beaumont; father, Ovey W. Lavergne of Jasper; children, Shanna Dane, Amanda Lavergne and Taylor Dacy; three grandchildren, Ayden Michael Dane, Mekenna Ann-Marie Dane, and Landon Ray Lavergne; aunts, Nancy Cooper, Shirley Parsons Boyle and her husband David, Linda Weeks, and Vada Byford; and numerous other loving family members and loved one’s.

His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Broussard’s.
