Mary Sue McCall 
March 21, 1928 - January 23, 2010

Mary Sue McCall, 81, a native of Hamshire, passed away on January 23, 2010.

 

She was born March 21, 1928 to LeRoy McCall and Mary Sandel McCall. A graduate of Beaumont High School and Baylor University, Mary Sue worked at the VA Hospital in Dallas in Research Chemistry. Together with her longtime friend and business partner Anna Eisentraut, perfected and patented the Thyroid Profile Test T-3 and T-4. She and Anna were cofounders of Nuclear Medical Laboratories of Dallas. Mary Sue retired from NML in 1983.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4955 Pine in Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving Mary Sue are her brother, LeRoy (Tommy) McCall, Jr. and his wife Girlean of Hamshire; nephew, Travis McCall and his wife Jan of Hamshire; niece, Jan Tobias of Hamshire and her friend and business partner Anna Eisentraut.
