Pauline Dattalo 
March 10, 1917 - January 22, 2010

Pauline Dattalo, 92, a lifelong resident of Beaumont, died January 22, 2010, in Houston.  Her parents, Genevieve and Sam Dattalo and her siblings preceded her in death.

 

Pauline led an active life, traveling widely, participating in exercise classes and enjoying her favorite activity – dancing.  She retired in 1979, from the Jefferson County Courthouse where she worked as Deputy Clerk in the Tax Collection Department.  A graduate of South Park High School, she began her career as a salesperson at The Fair Store, then worked for eleven years as a secretary for Plumbers Union 504.

 

She is survived by eleven nieces and one nephew whom she considered her children;  Charlotte Sweeney and her husband Charles, Linda Montelaro both of Houston, Janet Pardue and her husband Bill of Dayton, Ohio, Lucille Ochoa and Pearl Maggio both of the Woodlands, Charlene Quast of Missouri City, Carol Sanders of Tyler, Flora Fuselier and her husband Perrell of Oakdale, Louisiana, Genevieve Catanzaro, Marie Maggio, Joanna LaBarbera and her husband Johnny all of Beaumont, and Carlos Maggio and his wife Dorothy of Kingwood.  Aunt Pauline is also survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s 2000 McFaddin.  A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, January 25, 2010, 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M.

 

The family wishes to thank the care associates at the Hampton Shadowlake Assisted Living in Houston for the kindness and loving care given to our dear aunt.
