Marguerite Pfleider, 91, of Sour Lake, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born January 19, 1919 in Beaumont to Elizabeth Wisegerber and Tye DeYoung, and was a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area. Marguerite was a homemaker and seamstress. Survivors include her son, Ronnie Pfleider and his wife Ann of Pinewood; grandchildren, Melissa Etie and her husband Clint, Marguerite Craig and her husband Steve and Amy Carlquist and her husband Kelly; great grandchildren, Brittney Etie, Galen Etie, Eric Etie, Cameron Craig, Colin Craig, Carson Craig, Cassie Carlquist, Karlie Carlquist, and Kelsie Carlquist; sisters, Grace Humbarger of Houston and Betty Stuart of Nederland; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver, Glenda Morgan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Pfleider; and brothers, John DeYoung and Earl DeYoung. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with a graveside service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at Fairview Cemetery in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2010, at Broussard’s.
