William R. Shaw of Nederland passed into the arms of Our Lord on Tuesday January 19, 2010 in Beaumont Texas. He was preceded into heaven by his first wife MaryAnn (Clark) Shaw. Bill had spent the majority of his life raising his family in Madeira, Ohio. He retired from Hilton Davis Corp as a chemist and retired to Carolina Beach NC. He and his loving wife Anna, whom he has left behind, moved to Nederland Texas in 2003.   Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, January 22, 2010 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Monsignor Dan Malain officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, January 21, 2009 at the mortuary. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s.   Surviving Bill are his children and their spouses; daughters, Katie and Bob Stegall of Nederland and Mary Beth and Mark Osterbrock of Wilmington, Ohio; sons, Bruce and Sally Shaw of Milford, Ohio ,Jeff and Yolanda Shaw of Deer Park, Ohio and Scott and Shelly Shaw of Amelia Ohio. Bill is also survived by his stepsons, Bobby and Donna Crowe of Norman OK and Steven and Beth Crowe of Austin, TX; stepdaughter, Annette and Greg Shaver of Las Vegas. Nevada. Bill also left fond memories for his grandchildren; Melissa, Robert Jr (BJ) and wife Tami, Erica, Derek, Craig, Erin, Cameron, Kyle, Shay and Zachary, Blake, Patrick and wife Andrea, Michelle and husband John Davis … Bill had 4 great grandchildren; Ashley, Promise, Pandi, and his little nurse Kyli. He is also survived by his siter, Mary Lou McDonald of Mount Healthy, Ohio.   An avid outdoorsman Bill spent many years at his lake cabin in Ontario, canoeing rivers across Michigan and Canada, and exploring the beaches and backwaters of the Cape Fear River. He was an Army veteran of W W II serving in Africa and Italy.
