Mabel Miller, 82 of Nederland passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.   Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with Rev. Will Agy, and Rev. Robert Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at the mortuary.   Mrs. Miller was a native of Clarence, Louisiana and lived in Nederland for 36 years. She retired as a bookkeeper with Helena Laboratories in Beaumont.   Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas and Mary Leona McNeils Matkin; son Lyle Miller and her brother, Huey Matkin. She is survived by her husband Herman O. Miller; and her favorite companion “Troubles”. four daughters, Diann Langston and husband Roy of Kountze, Linda Richardson and husband Carlos of Hemphill, Denise Gresham and husband Brett of Hemphill, and Barbara Ward and husband Truman of Silsbee; one son Wesley Miller and wife Suzanne of Plano; one brother David Matkin and wife Margot of Kountze; one sister, Barbara Carnley of Beaumont; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
