Zella Schroeder, 78, of Beauxart Gardens passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
Service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Schroeder was born on January 11, 1932 in Beaumont. She had lived in Beauxart Gardens for 58 years and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin J. Schroeder of Beauxart Gardens; son, Melvin James Schroeder, Jr. of Livingston, TX.; daughters, Brenda Johnson and husband, Rob of Houston, TX., Linda Schroeder of Beauxart Gardens and Judy Dooley of Beauxart Gardens; Grandchildren, Keely Shaw and husband, David of Vidor, TX., Michael James Schroeder and wife, Ashley of Vidor, TX. and Daniel Joseph Dooley of Katy, TX.; great granddaughter, Brooklyn Schroeder of Vidor, TX.; step-sisters, Marie Nelson of Milam, TX. and Louise Dillard of Channelview, TX.; step-brother, Thomas Stillwell of Hemphill, TX.; brother-in-law, Charles Schroeder of Corpus Christi, TX.; sister-in-law, Majorie Ruemke of Bartlett, TX.; daughter-in-law, Becky Smith and husband, J.D. of Vidor, TX.
