Easter Jones, 87 of Nederland passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.   Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with Reverend L.A. Richardson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Friday at the mortuary. Mrs. Jones was a native of Hemphill and has lived in Nederland since 1942, where she was a former co-owner of the family business Jones AMC Jeep. She was a member of Central Gardens Baptist Church in Nederland. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Burl E. Jones, Sr. Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Clampitt and her husband Robby of Nederland; son, Burl “Butch” Jones Jr. of Katy; two granddaughters, Carrie Ann Smith and her husband Richard of Baytown, Jennifer Beebe and her husband Gene of Beaumont; two great grandchildren, Michaela Smith, Gillian Beebe; one great grandson, Jacob Beebe and one brother Herman Miller of Nederland.
