Mary Helen Lathrop, 75, of Silsbee, died Sunday, January 10, 2010,

Mary was born in Beaumont and had lived in the area since 1969.

She is survived by her sons, Bill Lathrop and wife Patty of Brandon, Vermont, David Lathrop and his wife Beth of Silsbee, James Lathrop of Silsbee, John Lathrop of Angleton, Michael Lathrop of Corpus Christie, and Robert Lathrop of Hemphill; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brothers, Woody Casses of Fred, Mike Casses of Beaumont, and Edward Casses of Vidor; sisters, Cathy Haynes and Margaret Edwards both of China, and Sylvia Casses of Vidor.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, William Forest Lathrop; parents, James and Sylvia Casses; grandson, Nicholas Lathrop; and brothers, James and Patrick Casses.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A 12:00 noon burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.  A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 15, 2010, 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
