Emily Ray Cahlik, 18, of Kountze died January 10, 2010, at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.  Emily was born May 13, 1991, in Beaumont to Dennis George and Teresa (Brown) Cahlik.  A 2009 graduate from Edinburg High School, she lived most of her life in Kountze.

She is survived by her parents, Teresa and Dennis Cahlik of Kountze; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Cahlik of Anchorage, Alaska and Rebecca Ann Cahlik of Kountze; grandparents, Marion Iola Cahlik of Oklahoma City and Jeanne Brown of Kountze; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Cathedral in the Pines, 2350 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont with Reverend Jeremy Austill officiating.  A private family committal will be held at the family cemetery in Kountze.  A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, January 12, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
