Jacob Burl Arnold, 24, of Lumberton died Thursday, January 7, 2010, at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.  Jacob was born in Galveston on August 13, 1985, and was a lifelong resident of Kountze.  He was a manager with Dollar Tree in Beaumont.

He is survived by his father, Arthur “Art” Arnold, Jr. and his wife Renne of Diboll; mother, Dorothy Roebuck and her husband Matthew of Kountze; brothers, Jessie Brownlee and Christa Tumlinson of Kountze, Justin Shane Arnold and his wife Christy of Kountze, R.J. Hewitt of Diboll, and Timothy Hewitt of Diboll; sisters, Cheyenne Roebuck of Lake Charles and Candee Choate and her husband Don of St. Joe, Missouri; grandparents, Betty “Nannie”  Martel and her husband John of Rye, Gayline “Nana” Van Zandt of Diboll, Lauren Ide of Austin, and Elizabeth Roebuck and her husband Dr. Noel Roebuck of Austin; great grandmother, Alma Harris of Austin; niece, Kenadie; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, January 9, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
